Sibshops

Florissa is hosting “SibShops”, a group for siblings of children with any kind of a special need, now through May 19.  “Sibshops” provides an opportunity for siblings to provide and receive peer support and have fun from a kids’-eye view! Siblings of all ages are welcome. You can join the group at any point of the monthly series.

WHEN Third Thursday of each month through May 19, 2016 from 5:30 – 6:30 pm

WHERE Florissa, 101 East First Street, Dixon, IL 61021.

WHO Siblings of children with special needs including medical, social, emotional, developmental, or behavioral ages 8-13 years of age.  Sibshops acknowledges being the brother or sister of a person with special needs is for some a good thing, for others a not-so-good thing, and for many something in between. Sibshops blends education and discussion activities with games, crafts, and sometimes special guests.  This offering of Sibshops will be led by Connie Davis, a Certified Facilitator of the Sibshops program.

DETAILS The groups are of no-cost to participants. Snacks will be provided.
