Florissa Family 5K & Fun Run

Thank you for your interest in the 8th Annual Florissa Family 5K and Fun Run! The focus of this event is to

raise funds to support Florissa, the children’s division of Kreider Services which helps those with

developmental, behavioral, social or emotional needs. Funds raised will directly support the programs at

Florissa, located in Dixon, IL.

Participants can choose to run the 5k or walk on an accessible route at Sauk Valley Community College, so everyone can join the fun. The day starts with a Fun Run for kids 9 years and under.

TEAM CHALLENGE

Gather a team of co-workers, family, or friends

(minimum of 5 runners/walkers per team). The finish times of the top 5 runners from each team will be

combined, and the team with the lowest combined

score will receive top honors.

Register 3 or more immediate family members (in the same transaction) to receive a discount. Select “5K Family Pass” sub-event when registering online at

June 13th Online Registration Ends

Online registration for the 5K race and Fun Run ends at 5:00

p.m. Pre-registration is $30.00 if paid by this time.

Individuals not registered by this time who still wish to participate can register the morning of the race.

June 14th Race Packet Pick-Up

Registered participants may pick up race packets from 7:00

a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kreider Services, 500 Anchor Road, Dixon, IL. You may also pick up packets for friends and family registered.

June 15th Race Day

7:00 a.m. : Registration

Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. at Sauk Valley Community College and concludes at 8:30 a.m. Day-of registration is

$35.00. Day-of registrants are not guaranteed to receive a race t-shirt.

8:30 a.m. : Fun Run

The Fun Run is FREE for kids 9 years and under and begins at 8:30 a.m. with a 6/10ths of a mile course on the grounds of Sauk Valley Community College. Each runner will receive a race t-shirt, medal, and goodie bag.

9:00 a.m. : 5K Run / Walk

This race is a full 5K (3.1 miles) on the grounds of Sauk Valley Community College. The event is open to all ages 6

years of age and up. Participants are chip timed. Awards will be given for seven age groups, including the top male and female participants in each age group.
